Default W/R Build

Hello Everyone,
i am a W/R and i made a build and i want to hear opinions about it , i am not a Expert so if this build is totally fail please say me >< ;

Power Attack
Crippling Slash
Gash
Final Thrust
Endure Pain
Healing Sign

i thought this build is good becase when you use Crippling Slash its inflicts Crippled and bleeding condition and gash inflicts Deep Wound +Final Thrust has high dmage.
(i want a good build for pvp (like in Random Arenas) . i found out that i am not very good at pvp and i need to know what i can improve.

Add some kind of IAS (frenzy/flail/...) and IMS (sprint/enraging charge/...)

And well, I don't think you'll need Endure Pain.

I'm not really PvP player, but I think that's it.

Well, to start with, you say you're W/R but you don't have any ranger skills so your secondary doesn't really matter at the moment.

Next point, you only have 6 skills. You're going to want to fill out the 8 max. If you want to do Random Arenas (RA), I'd definitely suggest Resurrection Signet.

As for your current skills, Crippling Slash+Gash is a great combination. I wouldn't bring healing signet since it is your only tactics skill and generally not a good idea to have -40 armor in PvP. Endure Pain is a decent survival skill if you're in a pinch. Power attack is a nice skill, but if you use it often you'll easily run out of energy. Final thrust is a good spike hit to finish, but just be careful of the adrenal loss. Also, you want to bring an Increased Attack Speed (IAS) such as Frenzy and a cancel stance, such as rush, for when you're under heavy attack.

Do you have all 3 campaigns?

Look at this build, also:

i would drop tactics, max out strength and swordsmanship

maybe take lion's comfort instead of heal sig, and if you wanted a kinda useful ranger skill maybe antidote signet?

good luck

Hello! I don't play very much any more but I know a thing or two about warriors, and how to improve that bar.

First of all I'll commend you on your ability to spot good skill combos, Crippling Slash/Gash has good synergy and helps to save skill slots. Crippling Slash acts as both Hamstring and Sever Artery.

Power Attack is an energy move, and warriors aren't the best class when it comes to having enough energy. If you use it too much, it will drain you quickly. You can solve this by bringing an elite skill, like Warrior's Endurance, but then you have to decide if you want to give up Crippling Slash just so you can have enough energy to spam Power Attack.

Final Thrust is good for dealing a sudden spike of damage after you or your team pressures a target down to critical health. Just remember that you're going to lose all of your adrenaline every time you use it. It would serve you a lot better if you went with Warrior's Endurance, then you can bring a lot of energy attacks and use Final Thrust without so much of a set-back. (If you bring Crippling Slash, you want to keep it fueled in cases where you're against a good team that knows to keep Deep Wound off of themselves, and to keep Cripple off of your targets)

Endure pain can give you a health boost to keep you alive a little bit longer, but eventually you will lose the health and that might not be good. I'm not a fan of Endure Pain.

It's the same story with Healing Signet, it's a decent amount of self-healing but it has a long casting time that can easily be interrupted, and keeps you from doing your job (harassing the enemy).

For skills 7 and 8, remember to bring a Resurrection Signet, it's very important.

Instead of power attack, use bull's strike. Knockdown is very powerful. Don't forget to use a stonefist insignia on one of your armor pieces.

Instead of final thrust you should take sun and moon slash, it's also high damage but doesn't make you lose all adrenaline and actually helps build it so you can use crippling slash more often.

Endure pain isn't very good, it only gives you extra health for a while. Better take a skill that heals like lion's comfort.

For your secondary profession, don't worry about it too much. The only skills you could use from it in this kind of build wuld be condition removal. (as W/R antidote signet, as W/Mo mending touch) You can change your secondary profession in case you didn't know.

If you get a weapon with elemental damage you can go /E and use a matching Conjure spell (Conjure Flame, Frost or Lightning). They give armor-ignoring damage bonus which fires on every hit so it will work great with skills that deal multiple attacks (including Sun and Moon Slash).

I definitely second the Conjure build recommendation, it does a lot of damage.

Frenzy/Rush is another good skill combination (is it still meta?) but you need to be careful. Stay alert and cancel Frenzy the moment you notice that the enemy is starting to focus on you.

What is this? Resurrection Signet?

If your attacks are missing it's because you've got some kind of hex on you or are blinded (a condition). There is a lot of anti-melee stuff in Random Arenas. Honestly, there isn't really much you can do about it. Antidote Signet can help get rid of blind. Anti-hex skills are not worthwhile on a Warrior. If you don't have a Monk to remove them for you don't expect to get much done.

I wouldn't suggest frenzy by itself. The moment I see something using frenzy, I target it. I'd advise a cancel stance, or even just using flurry.

Enraging charge can work as a cancel stance, and also can be used to build up adrenaline quickly to unleash attacks.

"I wouldn't suggest frenzy by itself."

Eight seconds is way too long, and you'll likely never find such an opportunity.

Replace for greater justice with rush. FgJ with 8 seconds out of 45 is useless while rush is an IMS(which every warrior bar should have) and cancel for frenzy.

I would suggest doing the other campaigns first, just missions not the quests, there's way too many quests and the rewards aren't very good.

Umm what? FGJ is 20 seconds. IMS isn't needed at all in PvE. You can just run Frenzy if you care to just micro a hero to put Prot Spirit on you or just run Flail.

He was talking about PvP afaik, for PvE you're right.

@GWPlayer2: You don't need any ritualist skills. Generally use skills from strength and the weapon attribute you want to use. Usually it's 3 weapon-specific attacks, bull's strike, IMS, IAS and 2 utility slots for res, self healing or extra adrenaline.

The above only goes for PvP and it can change with which elite you use, but it's a good standard template for most builds.

For PvE there are a lot more options, but I don't know of any warrior builds effectively using /Rt skills.

swap Power Attack for Body Blow, Endure pain shows me you have no idea ho warriors play in a team, raising your health/armor from base just causes enemy's to run past you and gang-bang livia (unless thats what u were going for, keep it up!)Flail+Rush and Lion's Compfort or go W/D and bring Natural Healing(not sure on func after updayte, it was 1337 before on adrin builds), Empty slot..hm... "Watch Your Self" stands out atm, 6 att in tac, and ofc Res Sig if you're in RA...or ill report you for leeching.

Crippling Slash
Gash
Body Blow
Final Thrust (sparingly)
Rush
Flail
Natural Healing/Lion's Comfort
Res Sig
